All Day Hey!
An opening title sequence for a creative conference
Graphic design, programming, animation, music composition/production
Hey! Presents was looking for an on-brand and energetic opening to their All Day Hey! conference, and I was happy to oblige. You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but part of the idea for this sequence came from some Henri Matisse charcoal drawings that expose the iterative process of their own making. With “show your work” as my mantra, after establishing a grid that the sequence’s various elements could hang on, I foregrounded the grid itself in the animation while also using it as a basis for a glitchy system of transitions.
